My bfreind luke and i are trying to concieve a child. I quit smoking 34 days ago and cut back on drinking and started working out with some workout videos that i bought every month that goes by i keep thinking that i'm pregnant and i end up not being preg. I have trouble trying to figure out when i ovulate and when to have sex and all that stuff and hoping that someone will be able to help me out. :confused:

You can buy OPKs(ovulation test) that will help you eith the ovulation. You can also BBT (bassel body temping). You buy a special thermometer and chart your temps. as far as the BDing(baby dancing/sex goes. THere are difference of oppinions on that. Some say every other day from CD 10 until you get you + OPK then every day for 3 days, skip one day then BD once more. Some say every other day and the day of O. Alot of it alsodepends on the guys sperms. But you probably do no want to BD more then once a day while in the O period. The guy's sperm neede a chance to reload.
Oh yeah, If you cycles are 28 days you should O on day 15. Not every one does. How Long are your cycles?

well here is the deal I took an opk test on thurs and i'm sure it came out positive and i also noticed some mucus and i was having like a pinch in my abdomen that day and also on fri my bfriend and i bd on thursday night and last night and i also noticed some mucus yesterday can you tell me what this means

Ok, the first day of your period is cycle day 1. What day of your cycle did the pain and cervical mucus and + OPK Occur . SOme women get pain with ovulation.

Ovulation usually occurs somewhere in the middle of you cycle, but not always. You get egg white consistancy mucus around the time of ovulation. Some people get it the day before and the day after. Some people get it the day of. THere are even some that don't get it at all. The EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) is the most fertile of CMs. It is thick and strechey. The sperm lives in it as it travels to meet the egg. You can do a search on google for Cervical mucus and it will explain the types of CM. That helped me out alot.

It sounds like the pain you felt could have been ovulation.
