Hey everyone,

27 year old male here. Maybe 5-10 pounds overweight.

I've done quite a bit of searching through the posts and couldn't really find anyone describing the sort of pain that I have been experiencing the past month.

i would describe it as a "twinge" of pain in my abdomen - mostly in my right upper quadrant. It's usally either an inch or two below my rib cage, a little to the right and above my belly button or directly above my hip bone. It is sometimes sharp, sometimes dull and only lasts for a second or two. It is never constant. Sometimes it feels like it radiates towards my lower back as well. It has been occuring anywhere from 3-20 times daily for the past three weeks.

I am not sore and I cannot replicate the pain by moving in various positions. It does not seem to be affected by eating or lack of, nor coincide with bowel movements.

However, sometimes where I feel the pain, I will itch a little afterwards.

Occasionally I will also feel slightly bloated. I also have been having some daily headaches that seeemed to coincide with my abdominal pain.

No upset stomach, no diarrhea, no jaundice, urine and stool look fine, etc...

About 5 weeks ago, I had some blood work taken for some tingling/numbness in the hands and feet and the doctor ran some LFT's which came back within normal range.

AST - 32 (reference 16-40)
AFT - 32 (reference 8-54)
Albumin - 4.9 (reference 3.5 - 5.0)
T. Protein - 8.1 (reference 6.3 - 8.2)
Direct Bili - 0.3 (reference 0.0 - 0.4)
Bu Bilirubin - 0.4 (reference 0.0 - 1.1)
T. Bilirubin 0.6 (reference 0.0 - 1.4)
Alk Phos. - 90 (reference 38 -126)

They also did a blood count and some thyroid tests that all came back unremarkable.

I am still worried about my liver. I drank quite a bit in college and until recently, while not off the wall, I averaged more than the recommended intake of alcohol. Usually more than a case of beer a week.

I have never been an IV drug user, always practice safe sex and never had a blood transfusion.

Do any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? Thanks.
