Okay, I'm back on this part of the board because my body is acting weird again... peri-menopause.

I missed the day when I can start my pill again, so this month is out for the BCP. However, about 2-3 days after my last period, I start ovulating! Does anybody else have this? Then my period starts again in 2 weeks! UGH!

I'm getting back on the pill so my cycle can be regulated. I hate this part of "the changes".

BIG SIGH.

Anybody with similar symptoms or answer to this would be greatly appreciated.

I just started the BCP. I started in the middle of my cycle and will continue to take them for a couple of months. I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow which is the day I should be getting my period. So, hopefully I won't get it because I'm taking the pill. My dr. told me that I could just take them continuously so I don't get my period. Maybe you should speak to your dr. to see how he/she feels about just going on them now. Why wait?

Can either of you tell me if your doctor put you on BCP mainly for regulating your periods. I was having early ones and inbetween bleeding and my doctor prescribe estrace not a BCP. I just wonder why some get one or the other.

Hi Linda,

Yep, my doctor put me on BCP because my period was coming every 12 to 15 days... yuck... I hate it and I've always been regular. But last year, that all changed. UGH.

BTW, what's estrace? What is it supposed to do?

Hey Estrace in estrogen, I have tried it as I am scared of the breast cancer that goes with estrogen. I used progesterone last year as it didn't worry me. Couldn't tell I felt any different. Thats must get old having periods every 15 days or so. Mine are closer together also not quit that close. Can't what until this is all over with.
