I'm not sure, but I think I may have developed an allergy to adrenaline. For several months now, I've been having needlelike pain and itching whenever I run into a situation of stress; I know the body releases adrenaline in these situations. My skin breaks out in hives, but oddly enough only on my upper body, except my face which just turns red. Every time it happens the hives seem to stick around longer and the pain seems to worsen. I've taken banadryl and it seems to do something about the hives, but the allergy (if that's what it is) only gets worse as time goes by.
Please help if you can.

seeing an allergist is the best bet. I've heard of that same thing (in fact I broke out in hives from stress last week for the first time ever!). As for treatment, I'm not sure. It may be something like a daily allergy medicine.
