I have TMJ and my disc are dislocated on both sides. I also have a bone spur on my left side. The oral surgeon also told me that I have osteoarthritus in both sides. Has anyone else been told this? I am having lots of pain. I had been on Celebrex for about a month, but it does not help and my sister-in-law said that she has heard lots of controversy about that medication. I will be seeing my new PCP doctor tomorrow morning and I have an appointment with a different oral surgeon on the 20th. I just want to know if anyone else has this and what they have tried or what if anything has worked to help them. Thanks! :dizzy:

Clencher, I have arthritis in my left jaw joint. It feels like there is a boulder laying in my upper cheek. Sometimes heat helps. Flexeril helps somewhat too. Wearing a thick upper nightguard relieves the pain, but I can't wear it out of the house b/c of how it looks. So, my DDS made me a lower one to wear out of the house, but it causes pain. Have you tried Acupuncture? I had a treatment yesterday and was painfree for a whole day. I'm hoping that the more I go, the more pain relief I'll have. I used to take Bextra before it was taken off the market and it's the only anti-inflammatory that helped. Hope you find some pain relief. If so, please post. Sue
