I'm sure I'm going to have to take her in to the Dr. I just keep waiting for it to go away.
About 1 month ago--she started complaining of stomach aches. I timed them one night-----it came in waves----every 10 min, lasting 1 min. Severe pain. I assumed its bowels. She had the stomach flu a few days before. She continued to have pain on/off every day for another week. I was just about to take her in and she got the flu again (the rest of the family got it this time). Since then---about 3-4 weeks ago---she is still complaining of pain. Not in waves anymore. Right in the middle of her naval. She is constipated. The past 2 weeks--we tried: fiber wafers, stool softeners, and I gave her an enema 2 days ago. She is still complaining. She is very active, eats lots of fruit and lots of fiber. She has never been constipated before this.
What else could it be?

I would still try the wafers-- that contain psyllium -- and would bulk up her stool because it is a water soluble fiber supplement.
To have normal stools -- you need a combination of both soluble fiber and insoluble fiber.

After the stomach flu--- sometimes with the loose stools it washes away the friendly bacteria and that needs to be replaced --- yogurt, kefir or probiotic supplements may help.

I like and use Stonyfield Farm Yogurt daily because it contains 4 additional cultured bacteria-- one is L. reuteri and is only contained in this yogurt in the USA and it is not in any in Canada or Mexico

Also, pain can be caused by muscle spasms or cramping --- usually a lack of magnesium can cause this problem??.
