I'm a little worried about one of my friends at school. She just got back from having pneumonia, which she still has (somewhat). During 5th period, about noon, her tongue become splotchy and turned a bright greenish color. Does anyone know what the cause of this is, and whether it is any cause of worry. She said she had not eaten that day besides her cough drops, which were yellow.

Since your friend has had pneumonia, surely she's under the care of a doctor and is probably on an antibiotic. Even though the cough drops were yellow, I'm sure that's what caused her tongue to look green. I had pneumonia this past summer and I recovered quickly once I was diagnosed and put on medicine. I'm sure your friend will be fine.

I found out it was Walkin Pneumonia, if that has anything to do with anything at all. I still doubt that it was the cough drops, sheerly because of how long it lasted. Like I said, it was noonish when it was first noticed, and it was still there at 2:43(the end of school). It had only faded slightly.
