Hi everyone, hope this post finds you all doing well. I will start by saying that I fully feel I am just being paranoid. I am only 28 yrs. old and have 3 children, so I know by the research I have done that I am at a relatively low risk for breast cancer. Last year around April I had an enlarged lymph node behind my right ear, went to my dr. she ordered a biopsy and it was nothing at all. About 2 months ago I found a lump on my right breast, thought it was due to my period because I know that breasts change around the week before your period, I waited until a week after my period and it is still there. When I stand in front of the mirror I can see a difference in the appearance of my left breast and right breast. There is a visibly obvious lump or tissue right under my arm onto my breast. When I lie down and feel it I can determine that it is probably a lymph node. Small, hard, and imobile. I know that there are alot of conditions that can cause enlarged lymph nodes because of all the research I did before while awaiting biopsy results. I know that the obvious answer is get it checked, better safe than sorry. I feel a little foolish going to the dr. every time I find a swollen lymph node, because I have several that I have had examined since the biopsy. I guess what I really would like to know is wouldn't I have some more distinct symptoms like nipple discharge, or feelings of really being sick or something if this was anything to worry about. I would like to hear from some people who have or have survived breast cancer. Are there more obvious symptoms that finding a lump? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. deedea.
