I just received a call that my pap smear shows I have a low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion. They want me to see a gyncologist. Can anyone tell me what this means???

Lvnglf 03-08-2006, 06:48 PM The term dysplasia is used for tissues and biopsies. When one refers to pap, the term SIL (squamous intraepithelial lesions) is used. "What does it mean?" Means they'll want a "closer look". They'll apply simple vinagar (painless) and look for color and "texture" (tile) changes. Hope this helps. |
