Ok so there are a couple brands of spray butters:
I cant believe it not butter, SmartBeat & a couple others I dont remember the names of.

My question is that the bottle says 0 Fat but on a couple forums I have explored say that there is 1 gram of Fat for 5 sprays AND that there is a total of 90 GRAMS OF FAT IN ONE BOTTLE!!!!! Is this true????

If anyone knows the truth here I would really apreciate it.....

Thanks-a-lot,
Jade

They can't put zero grams of fat on the bottle if there actually is fat in it.

I believe it's 0 grams of TRANS fat.
You can use a whole tablespoon of Molly McButter sprinkles and it's only 15 calories with no trans fat AND no saturated fat. Especially good on baked potatoes.

Jade, probably correct:
Full 8 ounce bottle is 226 grams. Main ingredient is water (whew) but SECOND is liquid soybean oil...all fat. So figure about 40% guesstimate for FAT or almost 90 grams of fat exactly.
They make a mockery of the nutrition label by using preposterously small SERVING SIZES...mine (ICBINB) says 1 1/2 squirts (whatever a quarter squirt is) and the bottle holds 904 servings.
If you serve pure lard in servings that size you can say it it calorie and fat free.
That's the gimmick KOOL WHIP uses too.

By the way, calorie free sugar exists too...you just eat 11 grains at a time. :D The government says that under 5 calories can be called ZERO calories...and they DO!

BTW,
Before you use it the next time, unscrew the top and take a whiff; if it smells like linoleum, THROW IT OUT because it's gone rancid. I got tired of throwing them away half full so I don't buy anymore. I will now dispose of the one I just found in the back of the fridge...STINKY-POO! I had used it only for popcorn and gave that up a while ago.

Wow, I am officially 1)disgusted, 2)scared, and 3)turned off of spray butter!!! First of all, I'm sure it is so bad for you (even if it IS fat free, it's chemical laden!) and also, I use so much more than 2 sprays each time I use it, so I'm sure it adds calories and fat. I think I'm going to try the Molly McButter sprinkles....easier to control and not as deceiving....

It's so ridiculous all of these government rules about food and food labels. My guess is that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably IS. I guess I should have thought about that before loading on the CALORIE free, FAT free spray BUTTER. Oxymoron!!!!

DITTO LS!!!

Thanks Lenin........kinda.....LOL!! You are sooo right! I looked at the label and low and behold ................ soybean oil is the 2nd ingredient!!! THOSE JERKS!
Oh well right. Not the end of the world, but I did enjoy it though :(

I dont even really put it on veggies or popcorn or anything like that but I did enjoy it on some toast with jam or applebutter! Ehhh.... I dont need that crap anyways!! Applebutter, ESPECIALLY, is so yummy all by itself :) Thanks again for sharing your knowlege on these $hitty spray butters & I will most certainly toss mine TONIGHT!!!!

Jade
