a molar that had been troubling me for years (sensitivity for hot food and drinks and some constant pain) was extracted 1 month ago. the constant pain is somewhat gone, but there's still the sensitivity to hot drinks and food. well.. sensitivity.. more like a electric pain that travels to other molars. even though there's no molar there, anymore, it seems like the pain originates in the hole.also when i breath in hot steam the same pain occurs.
ive had this for years now, so i dont think its an inflammation/abscess, since that would have broken out somehow by now, wouldnt it?
the molar behind that one is filled.
the weird (and relieving) thing is: whenever i rinse my mouth with a cold substance (whatever it is) the pain dissapears.
so i always have a bottle of cold water by my side, even when i take a shower! and i drink my coffee with a straw to distribute it to the right side of my mouth.
apart from being very excentric in restaurants and public showers, this is very annoying. i would love to get rid of this condition. i've been chewing with my right side for years and im afraid it gets overburdened.
im going back to the dentist but in the meanwhile i'm curious if anyone has had this experience, or something similar.
much appreciated,
cheers
