You need to see a doctor and be checked for possible causes.

It is possible when people sit around on computer or other most of the time and do not move about very much, they will lose their strength and over time end up with symptoms you describe. In order to gain strength we need to eat right, exercise, etc. This may mean getting up and walking around in the house even tho we don't feel like it, each day try to do more, etc. and strength will gradually return.

Have they checked your thyroid function?? Do you sweat? are you shakey? Lose any weight? Increased appetite? Hot or cold all of the time? Look up symptoms of hyper and hypothyroid.

I don't think you can afford NOT to see a doctor. Sudden changes like this can be a sign of heart problems.

Some of the things do sound like heart problems like the other poster said, but how old are you? Are you nearing menopause?? ALL those things could be a sign if you are female, but one should never just guess.(If you are male then just forget THAT... and you better REALLY look into getting to a doctor shortly).

I still say check thyroid.

It can cause all the things you described. Even chest pain, shortness of breath....pain in your body, dry skin, hair falling out, irregular heartbeats, brain fog is a big symptom.

Either way, go get a check up. Or look online to order your own blood tests. Sometimes clinics will see you cheaper, so call around.

Many of your symptoms sound like fibromyalgia. That was how my symptoms started. I had very little energy and my legs ached a lot around the knees and downward from there. The pain reminds me of growing pains. You should look up a symptom list or check out the message board on this site. I hope you find some answers.

Hi z06 I go with what Jon powell said get your thyroid check,All your symptoms are the same as what I went through. Get your TSH, FREE T4, and if you can your FREE T3 , I am from the U.K and the doctors here dont like to test our FREE T3 . I have a underactive thyroid and was told last aug you should take care of yourself 1 IN A 1000 men get this!!!! .....Mandy

I got a better idea, go to the doctor and let THE DOCTOR decide what tests to run. Symptoms like this need to involve a complete physical with intensive bloodwork.

I wouldn't delay.

This might sound silly to most perople, but that is how I felf a long time ago, from depression and anxiety. I couldn't sleep, eat, concentrate, felt like I couldn't take care of my children, who were babies at the time. Sometimes
it's like an overwelming feeling that you have had enough and you just want to lie down and sleep your life away. I also had physical aches and pains from this. I also didn't want to go anywhere or do anything. But the most important thing to do is see a doctor to get a complete physical to rule out anything else. Good Luck.

Thank you for all the replies , I cant see a doctor at this time because i have no insurance. I hope i will be getting some soon . I just hate going through every day like this with some days are worse than others , Also i am constipated to some degree , meaning i dont do my normal everyday . I went from going 3 times a day like clock work to just once a day . I just mentioned this because it also started the same time with the symptons i have. Thank you.

Quite frankly, I believe you should see a doctor regardless of insurance. Symptoms like this can be signs of a potentially dangeroius physical ailment. Insurance won't help you, if you're dead.

Hi there z06,
Around the time that all of this started, were you diagnosed with any sort of infection? And, if so, were you prescribed any of the following antibiotics: Cipro, Levaquin, Tequin, Avelox? These are fluoroquinolone antibiotics; the most common side effects of them are exactly what you are describing. Joint pain, fatigue, memory loss, etc... Side effects from this class of drugs can appear weeks or even months after you have stopped taking them, and can persist for years or even be permanent.

Just a thought if you want to check your prescription history...most doctors are woefully uneducated when it comes to this class of drugs and the risks involved with them. If someone had told me this a year and a half ago, my life wouldn't have been destroyed...

Possible thyroid, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome.
Do you exersice? If not, try excersizing everyday for about 8 days and see if you feel better.

Do you drink coffee or soda on a regular basis? If yes, then cut back or stop drinking them all together- this could explain sleep problems, constipation, lack of energy, etc..

Do you have a poor diet? Consume alot of sugar/carbs or heavy fatty foods? If so cut back on the sugar and heavy meals- take a supplement daily with a high amount of B Vitamins and Iron.

Are you depressed?- This may be a seasonal disorder called S.A.D. -seasonal depression occures in the Winter months.

Do you drink alcohol more then once a week?-If so, stop. Drinking leads to low energy levels, insomnia and digestion problems because it throws off the bodies normal pH level.

Are you properly hydrated? Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Simply dehydration can lead to low energy levels, digestion problems, sleep problems, headaches and other body aches, slower mental funtioning and an overall "blah" feeling.

So ...exercise, eat well, drink alot of water, take vitamin supplements with high amounts of B vitamins and Iron, take some flaxseed oil or an other omega-3 fatty acid supplement....and get insured sometime if your really worried.. In most major cities, in many states, there are annual, bi-annual, etc. free community health screening events that usually last 2-3 days. These community health events provide free or low cost diagnostic check-ups. Most of them provide blood screening for abnormalities such as anemia and thyroid disorders. Check online under your states/cities major newspaper or local news channel websites to see if there are any upcoming community health events in your area.
