Did they refer to this as something more specific such as an AVM,(arterial venous malformation?)or an aneurysm or cavernous hemangioma??hemmoragic mass could mean many different things but the description definitely sounds like it is an active bleeder of some sort.Getting more details would help alot.you also need to get copies of all of your medical records having to do with this new dx.and most definitely get a copy of that CT report.they will most likely send you for either an MRI or MRA just to find out in much further detail, just what this 'mass' consists of.If you have any more detailed info on this it really would help me to offer you the best possible advice.but getting and updating ALL and I mean all of those medical records is really crucial when you have something like this really.just having these records in your possession will make it much easier to stay on top of things and keeping all of the most important stuff in some sort of expanding folder will save you a ton of time if you should ever need to go to the ER or see another specailist about this.they will have all of the basics right there in that folder and believe me,this has come in very handy for me when I have to see many of my specialists about my cavernous hemangioma inside of my spinal cord.getting all those records from every single place you have been seen is very very important.this will also give you much more detailed info onyour condition that most docs don't have the time to really get into.

are you seeing an actual neuroSURGEON/if not thats where you really need to go.a neurologist really does not know anything at all about these types of things like an actual neurosurgeon does, trust me on that one.

I wish you luck with this.if you have any more info on just exactly what you were told about this "mass' it sure would be helpful.plus you really DO need to know just exactly what it is you are really dealing with here.you do have that right.keep me posted on just what you find out,K?marcia

feelbad -- how do you describe a hemmoragic mass.
it struck me as being a " mass of blood"'
what else is the ct and mri able to detect ?
