I am new to this board. I post on the Lupus board. I have had vaginal bleeding since before Christmas. I will bleed for 1 week, stop for 5 days, then bleed another week, etc. Doc said it was from the Imuran (for Lupus) and I stopped taking it back in January. Since then, I am still bleeding. I do have some pain, like a pulling or twisting, fullness, near my ovaries. I also have nausea with occassional vomiting, heartburn/indigestion, constipation, abd fullness, so I had a colonoscopy and EGD last Monday which were clean. I had irritation from my meds, like NSAIDS and other strong GI irritants. I am so glad because my Dad is a colon cancer survivor.
Since I am still bleeding with large clots, I had a pelvic ultrasound done on Tuesday. I have not heard from my doc yet, but got a copy of the test. It said that I have a right ovarian cyst, small free fluid near the left ovary, some shadowing on the left, left echogenic foci (2 places), good blood flow and I can't remember the rest.
I am 34, never took birth control, never been pregnant, take many immunosuppressants, and am really scared. I don't know what the echogenic foci mean. They recommend a follow up U.S. in 6 weeks or less.
Any advice anyone?
I can handle what it is if I just knew!
