hi i'm wondering if anyone else has had this adverse reaction either to prednisone or venofer (iron given intravenously). I have intense feelings of burning under my skin in my arms, legs sometimes neck and back.The burning is intense but cannot be felt externally! i was given iron dextran but had an anaphalactic reaction to it so i was switched to the venofer and now i'm wondering if the reaction i feel now -which i got after the iron dextran as well- could really be the prednisone that they premedicate me with? i would appreciate any helpful replies. thank you

I got the same reaction again to iron pills-no one has ever had this? i noticed on another board people complained of this as a reaction to niacin-does anyone knoe if there is a connection between niacin and iron? maybe they put some niacin in the iron? any help please????????????? benadryl usually relieves some of the burning. is anyone out there familiar with this reaction-even to anything else????:blob_fire thanks
