I use the OPK and I got a BFP on CD14 and it is CD 17 today and my temp has not shown any radical change. Alongwith the positive OPK there was also good CM to indicate O. Dose it mean that the the OPK was giving me a false +ve. I am not under any medication.

Your thoughts will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
You can have more than one posative opk in a cycle. Its not necisarrily a false posative, more a case that your body gears up to try to ovulate, but then stress, illness etc, prevents it so you dont ovulate. You can then ovulate a few days or a week or so later when the body gets back up to full speed again. So it sounds like your body tried to ovulate hence the posative opk but didnt quite make it, so keep taking opk and keep baby dancing until your temps rise.

I was coming here to post the exact same question!

Today I am on CD18 and I normally O on CD17. OPK was positive for CD17, and my O-scope had been showing partial ferning for several days (CD14 and 15) and full ferning on CD16 and CD17.

Yet my temps have not changed AT ALL from my normal temps -- in fact, they've gone DOWN a few degrees.

Normally when I O there is some cramping and I feel like I'm PMSing from O until AF arrives (which sucks), but not this month. Nothing out of the ordinary, sympton-wise.

We've been BDing like bunny rabbits so I can't really get an accurate read on my CM, if you know what I mean. :D

I don't really understand it myself -- how can 2 of 3 major indicators be so "on", except for the MAJOR one??? I don't think I O'd already, due to the other body symptoms (for me), plus my temps have been fairly steady so far.

Sigh. Just when I think there's a month where all is going well re: TTC then something else comes along to throw a wrench into it! Sheesh.

Glad to know it's not just me, ParsannaS!

I had a pos. opk on CD13, and did not see a rise in temp until CD17. So keep baby dancing until you see it go up! I was only able to bd on cd13 and cd 14 and AF showed up this past monday. :(
Good luck!

Sometimes you have multiple LH surges so maybe you just didn't hit on the real one yet. All you can do is keep BDing.
