Okay I read that sometimes after an infection a lymph node may not fully go down and may permenatly stay enlarged. Is this true? I think I read it in a medical student manual but I'm not sure if it's legit. I'm just worried because I have one that you can easily palpate thats been around for a while, and when I went to the doctor he said that it's nothing to worry about it feels fine. Some info would be great appreciated, thanks!

I don't know if this is true or not but I have one on my jaw that was enlarged when I had a really bad cold and while it's tiny now, I can still feel it there. It doesn't hurt, though.

Yes there is a small percentage that do not go down all the way, but it is usually those people that have the same location of the infection over and over again. The odds are on your side. Sometimes it does take time to go down though.
Don't start worrying for a year or two,
