I don't mean to scare you but it won;t go away and it will get worse. One of the stones could move into the bile duct and clog it. THe stones could inflame the bladder to the point that it might burst. Is there a charity hospital? He really should get this taken care of...the sooner the better.

One where they don't charge you...like a city or county hospital for the poor...or run by religious groups...sometimes they are called Charity Hospital. Do you belong to a church? Sometimes they can help or know of people who can...docs who'll operate free, etc...

if there is a teaching hospital where you live you should be able to get free or reduced care based on your income for example umass in mass gives free care to anyone who lives in that state with no money or insurance i spent a week in there and never got a bill

Well if you wait to long he will wind up like my Mom and it will get ganggreene(sp). She had a tough time because she waited too long. The docs were blaming it on other things. Make an appt with a family practice doc and let him know the situation. They can tell you where to go from there.
