I'm new to this board and I'm hoping that I can get a few answers....I'm 45 year old female and lately I've been having the followings problems:
Tenderness just below the left side of breast bone with dull pain.
Dull pain in the left lower side of abdomen.
Bloated, gassy
4 to 5 bowel movements a day. Sometimes loose stools but not always

I went to my Dr. yesterday and he mashed around on me and he says that the tenderness is external and not internal (whatever that means) he then did X-rays but nothing is showing.

Any answers as to what I may be experiencing? Oh there is no blood in the stools.

Hi,

I was getting ready to post my own question and saw yours. I'm 44 and though I'm not having abdominal pains, I have been having more frequent bowel movements for quite some time now that have me worried (also gassy sometimes). They're hard and small, but come three to five times a day which doesn't sound like constipation to me. I'm wondering if it might be a perimenopausal symptom -- there are so many weird things that happen during this time!

Sorry I can't help more, but you're not alone!
