Okay, the bottom line - I'm obsessed! I also beleive I have an over eating problem, I'm not fat , but tend to eat when I'm bored/depressed.
Anyways, my grandma has always beleived ice cream is great for you, as it's a dairy product. I doubt this, especially since I prefer the chocolate over vanilla.
But I've been curious, exactly how bad is ice cream for you?? Especially if you eat it every day for a short period?

Depends on what kind. If you eat a pint of Ben and Jerrys double chocolate fudge...then yeah...don't take your grandmothers adivce. But theres nothing wrong with indulging in a half to a cup of fat free chocolate or vanilla once or every other day. It does have calcium and a few other benefits, but you can easily get more calcium and less calories in a glass of skim milk. But if your a healthy weight and dont OD on Ben and Jerrys all the time, your all set!
