Hi, as some of you will have read I'm hoping I've found my wonder drug in Topomax. I know I shouldn't jump the gun with nerve pain, as it's prone to take some time off and then "bit you in the ***!" Anyhow I'm feeling real positive at present and have reduced my Klonopin dose from 3.5mg a day to 1.5mg a day since starting the Topomax and I hope to get this down to 0.5mg a day and then maybe I think I should leave it there for a bit.

It's been two weeks since I needed to use breakthrough pain meds! That's a record for me!

Anyhow all going well, at what point when should I start tapering off my 60mg a day of LA Oxycotin. I take 3 x 20mg doses a day. One at 8am, one at 2pm and one at 8pm. The Amitriptiyline sees me through the night. Currently my pain level seems steady at about 20%. I seem to be able to control short acute spells with breathing and meditation, so should I start tapering the Oxy or should I be grateful I've finally found a working maintenance at last; where's the fine line???
