can i ask if anyone here has had a bad reaction to this drug.
i was given it by phyciatrist.
1 month and i was in a terrible state even after 100mg a day, violent, stressed, hypersensitive to noise and movements.
so we tried again 5 weeks later and i had 1 tablet 100mg.
the skin on my face felt like a lead wight, my jaw dropped with no strength, and i hated everything in my site. now 10 days on im still stuck in that depressive state.
needless to say i didnt take another.
has anyone had these effects when taking this drug.
many thanks

I had really bad hand tremors (and that was really bad for my line of work). It also made the autonomic disorder I also have worse (which was what it was prescribed for, not for my E). Had to get off of it after about 4 weeks of adjusting doses...

It takes 4 days for Depakotes levels to become normal in a persons system.
I was not on that low of a dose; but even at a very high dose I did not have those symptoms you are experiencing.
I'd almost suggest talking to the one who issued you it and see if they can think of another med that may perform the same task, or effect the synapsis or regions of the brain, whatever the psyc is trying to do in your case.
Discussing it with that professional first I would do. Describe your problems with the med. See if they will be willing to try something else.
Best of luck in obtaining a resolution,

Meanwhile, I'd suggest if you are having problems with noise at home, buy a pair of earplugs (reusable) at a pharmacy or one of the "big box" stores. If you need to block out the noise, you can tweat some of the reusables so they are not in properly, but they will block most, but you can still hear the room noise somewhat.
I have 3 different types of reusables. Just depends on how much you want to block, what frequencies effected for music nuances, and if you have a pref for the "shape" of the plugs.
When the hospital gave me a megadose of meds everything sounded loud and I needed to use a pair (a couple of times) to have the room sound normal. Otherwise they are purely for working concerts in my case.
