Hi everyone: A question to those who have had liver resection....I am 3 months post surgery, and have started experiencing the same type of pain I had prior to the surgery. (soreness in Upper right quadrant, intermittent sharp pains). A CT scan showed nothing new.
Just wondering if anyone else experienced this? Is this normal, or do I assume there's a problem?
Thank you!

mgt hi,
I see that no one has answered this board but I do hope you check back and get mine!
I had a resection in April, about 8 weeks ago. My pain is horrible. I have had to go back to work as my surgeon wouldn't keep me out any longer. He gave me a real hard time about pain meds (I was still on them 4 weeks after the surgery). Well, I've spent the entire day today researching and I found this message board. It's nice to see people sharing, helping and supporting others, including us.
I do not know what is causing my pain. Sometimes I feel like I have a hole where my tumor was. Sometimes I wonder if it's where the gallbladder was (they took that too). I've read alot today about adhesions. The assistant surgeon told me there were alot of adhesions on my liver that they removed. Could that be causing my pain? Are they coming back? I've also read some stuff on the diaphram with this type of surgery. Wouldn't it be great if our incredibly highly paid surgeons could answer these questions???
Let me know how you are now, 3 months after your original post.
Regards, Corri
