My doctor told me that I had to stop taking my Aciphex for at least 2 weeks before trying to get pregnant. I didn't realize that they stayed in your system for that long.
Does anyone know why it takes so long for them to get out of your system? And are they really that dangerous?

Motherrisk (a canadian organization) did 2 studies on PPIs in pregnancy. They found no increased risk of birth defects from using PPIs while pregnant.
