Well here is the deal. About 3 years ago, I weighed about 320 pounds. Within a 6 months period, I got down to about 230. I was pretty excited about that, but once I moved out on my own, the weight came back, and right now I am probably at about 270.
I would love to lose about 40 pounds, but I would also like to bulk up a bit. I have since became a vegetarian, so I don't know if that would play a factor. Pretty much all of the weight I gained was before I became a vegetarian, so I am eating healthier. My diet mostly consists of fake meats (veggie burgers, fake chicken patties, ect), tofu, rice, ect. I also have the occasional bowl of cereal with soy milk. I am trying to cut bread out of my diet, and I have recently cut cheese out of it. So as far as food goes, I think I am set.
I exercise about 30 minutes a day, 4 or 5 days a week. Mostly weight lifting, sit ups, push ups, ect. I am curious if being a vegetarian would affect my ability to build muscle? And if so, is there any types of supplements that I can take to help? Keep in mind I am 100% drug free.
Thanks.

no but remember you need to get plenty of protein in your diet. you also need to do cardio at least 20 min 4 to six days a week. you will have a hard time building muscle if you don't get enough protein in your diet and drink alot.
