Hi. I recently was working with some power tools and subjected my hands to some pretty serious and lengthy vibration. Later that evening, I noticed a dull ache in my fingertips and a sort of numbness when I pressed on the fingertip. Felt kind of like I had a mitten on - like there was a layer of something between my fingertips when I pressed them together. The next morning in the shower I had a much stronger ache, seemingly from the heat, which went away shortly after the shower. But still the numbness.

Now, a few days later, the ache remains when I'm in the shower, and the numbness is still there. But now, when I press on my fingertips, they feel more spongy than usual, and still 'numb'.

Is this serious? Will it go away? Just curious because I play banjo and have a show coming up and obviously my fingertips need to be in good shape for that!!!
