my hubby is type 2 diabetic and has high blood preasure to wear its stroke material can he get on disability.

I think a lot would depend on what type of work he does and whether it can be controlled with medication. Has he missed a lot of work due to illness? Does his employer offer medical leave?

he hasnt lost to much time yet but its starting to catch up with him not taking med. for diabeties he has something wear if he is sick and haves to take some time off of work they will pay him but its not much at all not as much to keep up with the bills. and me i dont work or drive i have anxiety and deppresion problem it keeps me from doing certain thing. are son has adhd and were in process of having are daughter tested for bipolar things meds are exspensive. so im trying to figure out if i should go down to see if we can get some sort of help or not because we are really strugglings and dont have no family or friends that can help us out.and the reason he aint on no medicine yet is money we barely can afford to get my son his medicine.or my medicine and copays for me to see psychiatrys.

If you go the ssa website they will answer a lot of your questions there. It even tells what type of disability and what the guidelines are. It is tough to get ssd but it might be easier to get state disability.

My mom was denied three times and had to have a hearing, she did get it (and back money) but it was a long road. I think they denied her to see if she would go back to work, she didn' t bcuz she had too many medical problems, ie: heart attack 2x, uncontrolled diabetes and most worrisome hbp.
