Does anyone know what happens when your taking birthcontrol and u might be pregnant? I have been ttc and I hadnt had a period since Jan 8th. I went to the Gyno and only thing she did was urinate in a cup for a pregnancy test, and me telling her that I have had all negatives. I thought she would do a blood test to see if that showed up or something. Only thing she did was took my blood to check my hormone levels, she thinks that my hormones are out of whack. I feel pregnant, and she told me to take those pills to straighten out my period. What would happen to the fetus if I found out I was pregnant? Would I have a miscarriage or would the fetus have something wrong with it, or what? I have this feeling that I am pregnant but I dont know if my mind is playing tricks on me or what? This is really stressful and irritating. Sorry this is so long but I needed to tell someone about the feelings I am having. I know there has been a lot of women be pregnant and a urine and blood test come back negative, only way it was verified that they are pregnant is through an ultrasound. So, can anyone help me? What would birth control do if someone is pregnant?
Babydust to you all and me!!!!

I would put in the name of your birth control in a search engine and see what precautions and containdications it has, alternatively if you have the packaging there should be an insert in it that states the warnings on it or ring your pharmacist and ask him/her.

Good luck ;)

I read the warnings on the pamplet that came with my birth control and it said that there is no health risk to the fetus if on birth control but to quit after the finding out of being pregnant.

I went to see my doc about annovulatory cycles about a month ago. He put me on bc so this was my last chance of ttc until I see him again in April. I was worried about the same thing so I did tonnes of searches on the topic. I came up with pretty much the same thing. If you really think about it, there are alot of women who get pregnant on bc and don't know it. Therefore, they continue taking it for weeks or so until they realize, and the it doesn't harm the fetus. Just as long as it's not a prolonged use. I once read a story about a young girl who kept taking her bc even though she knew she was pregnant. She thought it would abort the pregnancy. However, it didn't work. I don't know if the baby was harmed by this, I only know that it was born. hope this helps and best of luck,
