A.F. is due on 3/20. I'm just wondering if anyone else is due around the same time as me? Hubby and I only BD'd twice during my ovulation. I mean we aren't really trying hard so to speak. Just kind of letting things take their course. I am so nervous that I may be pregnant, but then again, I will be nervous if I'm not. Those of you who know me know that I'm not sure what I want, but if it happens I'm sure I will be happy. Hubby and I are only trying until May and if it doesn't happen by then, we are just going to stop trying. I have one healthy 7-year old son right now that I thank God for everyday! Anyway, I've prayed and asked God to let whatever happens be his will. So if I get pregnant or not that is the way I believe he has set my life for me. :p

I'm due for AF on the 24th. I usually get some pesky spotting around 10-12 DPO, so this weekend will be the real test. DH & I have been TTC #1 for 8 months now so I'm super nervous!

Hello Greenjppixie
First I want to wish you the best of luck :bouncing: and it's nice that chat with someone waiting around the same time. I'm really nervous too. How old are you if I may ask? I was 30 when I got pregnant, but I had a miscarriage at 6.5 weeks, but the very next month I was pregnant again!! I have no idea how that happened, but it did and I was very grateful for it. Unfortunately, due to different issues in life I have not been able to try for another baby until this year and we've only been trying for a month now. This will be the second month. I, of course, wanted another baby a year or so later, but I couldn't due to healthy/financial/marital problems, so we put it off until everything in our life was in sync and now is that time. My first pregnancy with my son was awful. I had gestational diabetes and near the end developed pre-eclampsia and had him 6 weeks early. He was born at 5.6 oz. He was so tiny! LOL. If I get pregnant again it's possible that I may develop GD again, but there's a 50/50 chance I may not. This pregnancy stopped me for years too from having another. I was fearful. But the fear is a distant memory now and here I am trying once again.
Lots of babydust to you!!

Same with me about the BD time. Hubby and I did twice and that was it, so I'm highly doubting I could be, but you never know. Thanks for chiming in!!! How many months have you been trying? This is my second month.
Lots of baby dust to you too and all the other ladies this month!

Hi Gals,
I'm right there with you. AF is due 3/24 and I'm also not very hopeful this month. My BBT has been increasing in temp only by .1 each day around O. Never really had that happen. We BD everyday to every other day a week before O, but looking back on my previous charts we had the same pattern. With no pg outcome.
We have our first appt with RE next Tuesday (3/21) and am looking foward to it so I can get some kind of answer as to why it's such a problem for us. Been ttc for almost 2 years now.
I wish you ladies all the best this month. :bouncing:

Today I'm 4DPO. Mine is due 3/22 or 3/23. My temps were all over the place this month. I am using a new thermometer so that might be it, but I have never gotten the hang of that anyway. Could a basal temp be 96.0? That seems so low! I need to read up on this stuff some more! The opk and spit thingy said I was fertile at the same time, but with the temps being strange, I'm not sure I really was. Crossing my fingers things were perculating like they were supposed to!!!
I have no idea how long we've been ttc. We were married two years before I got pregnant the first time. After waiting four cycles after my son was stillborn, we tried from April to August last year, then quit trying and got pregnant in September, but miscarried in November. We started trying again in January. I guess we need to quit again so we can get a bfp!
Baby dust to all!

This is our 3rd month TTC & have been off bc for about 6months. It's funny..i thought the first month we try to TTC I would be pregnant-hehe..what was I thinking!!
The weird thing is I was on birth control for roughly ten years. I stopped them in February and was pregnant the next month! I COULDN'T believe that it happened to me that fast! I thought I was going to die when I got a BFP that day. I was 30 at the time. Right now, we aren't using those kit things or checking temps or CV, etc., etc. I just know when I ovulate by using an online predictor and we just BD during that time, but as I stated before, we only BD'd twice this month, so I doubt this will be the month. We talked last night and decided to try until May and if it doesn't happen by then, hubby will get his vasectomy like he was suppose to before we decided to try again. Why May? Well, because I will be 39 and it's a personal choice. We figured 4 months if long enough if it's meant to be. We have our son, so it's not a huge deal if it doesn't happen, but we both decided to only try for 2 more months.

Best of luck to you this month Teacher!!! Sorry about the problems you have had in the past. I also had one ms before my son, but was pregnant the very next month with him afterwards, so it wasn't that hard for me to get over as I think it could have been. I truly believe that God knows when you are ready and when he thinks you are - that is when you will be pregnant. I believe there is a reason for everything.

I'm here with you all, too. I ovulated on 3/10 and am due for AF on 3/20 or 3/21 (I know, short luteal phase).
We have been trying for about 6 months, but I had back surgery in December so we weren't really trying during that time. And, I had one anovulatory cycle in there, too. :(
So, I'm thinking that this is actually month #3 for us. We BD'd ALOT in the week leading up to O since my scope indicated full ferning for 3 days before O.
I'm hoping that this is the month. I just quit my job due to company politics, and it would be really convenient to not have to get another one just to have to quit when I get ready to have the baby (which is our plan). Not many jobs out there in a small town for a master's educated professional...
I have fibroids, too, but the OB doesn't think they'll interfere at all (I hope so too!).
The positive side of a short luteal phase is that the 2ww isn't really 2 weeks long! ;)

I'm so nervous.!!! Only a few more days to see if I start my period. I don't feel any differently, so who the heck knows. How can you considering I'd only be like 2 weeks pregnant? That's what I don't get. Alot of woman feel differently, but how? I could see 4+ weeks pregnant, but those of us TTC. The point from ovulation to when our period is normall due is less that 14 days, so how CAN we feel differently?? Anyway, this waiting sucks huh? My heart goes out to those of you who have been trying 6 months +. I could never go through it month after month for that long, even longer, but I think if it was my first child, I definately would.
So, good luck ladies that are with me next week. Maybe one of us will get a BFP? :bouncing:

The luteal phase is the part of your cycle from ovulation through menses. Most women need 10-11 days minimum in this phase in order for the embryo to attach to the uterine wall. If it's much shorter than there is a reduced chance that you can get pregnant -- so longer is definitely better.
Of course, it's different for everyone and there will always be that one person that chimes in with the "I got pregnant with only a 7 day luteal phase" comment. I'm speaking of generalities here.

Last month I purchased 5 of those "dip strip" tests online (5 tests for something like $15!) and I still have 3 left -- so I guess I don't need to go buy any this month. If I did, I'd head to Everything's a Dollar first for their $1 tests (other "dollar" stores charge $5-8). Were something to come up positive, then maybe I'd spring for the more expensive test from Walgreens or CVS. Ha!
I'm 10 dpo and my temp is still up. I was a little worried yesterday since it went down 4 degrees, but maybe that was implantation.... Back up to my normal post-O temps today though.
I use this other website to track my temps and other symptoms each day, and there is a neat feature where you can overlay up to 5 months of charts on top of one each other to see your own patterns better. It shows that my temp doesn't drop until the morning of AF -- which for me should be tomorrow. I'll let y'all know what happens...
In the meanwhile, I can't tell whether these stupid symptoms are just PMS or possible pregnancy. Everything I've read online and in books seems to say that they are very similar. Drat! Since I was on the pill for 15 years I never really had alot of PMS symptoms -- now that I'm off, whoa! The 10-11 days between O and AF are horrible!

So far today, no cramping, spotting or anything, so we will see. I'm usually every 28, but there have been a few times that I have been late, so it's not too hopefuly just yet, but so far, so good. Is it BD time for you again? Is that what you mean by start over? I talked to my mil and sil's the other day at a party that hubby and I went to, and one of my sil's told me to BD on day 10, 12, and 14, so if I'm not this month, then next month that is how I will do it. then if that doesn't work, she told me to on day 9, 11, 13. I was also told to have hubby obstain the week before. I never knew this! LOL. Anyway, they all think I'm putting too much pressure on myself giving that I'm only trying until May, but they have to understand that it is my personal choice to be pregnant before my 39th birhday, and if I'm not, then it wasn't mean to be.
Good luck to everyone who is with me this week and lots of babydust to you all!!! :bouncing:

We're not too far apart in ages. I'll be 35 in May. DH is 40. If we don't get a positive soon, we may do a cycle of two months of trying then one month of vacation from trying, charting, etc. My doctor said we can try fertility meds whenever I feel ready to go that route, but I don't want to try that until this summer.

Xinerevelle-Wow, that's really inexpensive for tests...i wonder if everythings a dollar is the same as the dollar tree? I'll have to go check it out.
I've spotted a little bit today..i almost feel like AF is on her way right now..but that would be way too early. Well see

Peach, I hadn't really thought about it until you asked. I hate to call them symptoms, because it will probably just be all in my head! Maybe your spotting is implantation! Woohoo!
Melly- I just can't wait until you take a test! My addiction has now spread to wanting other people to test!! Crossing my fingers.....
I've been awfully tired lately (had a two hour nap tonight after work and I'm soo ready for bed!), dreaming differently, waking up to go tinkle, during the day- when I have to go, I have to go Now!, feeling bloated, achey feeling below belly button that comes and goes, nausea two hours after breakfast and three after lunch, and some smells are making me sick.
It's probably PMS and a million other unrelated causes like drinking too much before I go to bed, not eating enough protein, getting a cold, etc.....but hopefully NOT!
Buckets of baby dust!

Well, I tested this morning and got a BFN. But... temp is still high. I would normally expect AF today. *shrug*
No major symptoms yet -- nothing that I can truly pinpoint on pregnancy and not PMS, anyway. I did sleep for about 2 hours in the middle of the day yesterday, which is EXTREMELY unusual for me (I'm not a napper at all). I have also been urinating more frequently than usual.
I want to be able to "announce" to my DH that we are pregnant (he thinks I'm a little nuts with all the charting, so I try not to get him caught up in the mechanics of it), so this morning I woke up about 15 minutes before the alarm went off and walked 10 feet to the bathroom (taking my thermometer with me). I took my temp (97.8) and then did a pregnancy test. As others have said -- only you other TTCers would understand the excitement of waking up early, wanting to test, and having to pee really badly. :)
I guess I'm in a holding pattern now. CD29. sigh.
I think that Dollar Tree and Everything's a Dollar ARE the same store chain. Check 'em out!
And yes, I truly understand the elatedness that comes with wanting to barf. Ha!

Hey Peach
Yes, you did say that outloud. LOL. Still sending you tons of babydust your way! Well as of today, still no cramps or headaches which I usually get when I'm due, BUT I have had a TINY BIT of spotting twice today when I wiped after going to the bathroom, once brown and once pinkish, and I've been waiting all day to start, but nothing yet. Usually when I see that, it's a let down and the cramps come and AF follows. If I don't start by tomorrow, then that is definately NOT right for me. When I spot, I usually start the same day. Keep those fingers crossed :bouncing: because if I start it will be tonight or tomorrow morning.
Teacher-How are you doing so far??
Xinerevelle-I can't believe you get them so cheap!! We have a Dollar Bill's Discount Store when I live, maybe I should buy them from there next time!!!

I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you honey!! :D
I'm hoping Peach's spotting is implantation too. I know mine is not because AF was due yesterday, so I have an awful feeling, but we'll see. Isn't implantation usually like 8-10 dpo?

Maybe your BFN was too early? If you're due, you should know soon then like me. What is CD29 mean? The few things that I have noticed this last week that is uncommon for me is that I have been urinated more lately and my stomach seems a bit harder than normal? It could be because I'm due. My breast hurt, but I have Fibrocystic Breasts, so they hurt when I'm due anyway! LOL. I'll definately know by tomorrow!! Will keep you ladies posted!

Mel --
I have fibrous breasts, too, and yes they usually hurt ALOT in the weeks leading up to AF. Not this time though (or at least not anymore...) hmmm...
CD29 means "Cycle Day 29". Today is CD30 for me (I've NEVER in my life had one this long, unless it was when I was in middle school or something) and again I got a BFN on the HPT. Maybe it's just too early (though I'm 2 days late...).
On another note, I HAVE had lots of CM for the past week... lots and lots. Isn't that strange??? Shouldn't it be all dried up right now (especially if AF was coming)?
Oh, and it sounds like many of us are similar in age: I'm 34 and DH is 36. This would be a first for both of us. Been married just over 3 years.

I just found out yesterday when I saw the breast surgeon that I had FB. I found a lump about 2 months ago, so my ob/gyn had me get an ultrasound, which showed no abnormalties, but they wouldn't give me the mammo because I'm TTC, so until/if I start my period, I have it scheduled for next Tuesday. The surgeon read the ultrasound pics, read the report, felt both breasts and told me I had FB and that it was not a lump that I was feeling. I told him, well, it feels like a damn lump to me!! He said it is thickening of the breast tissue(FB), and that sometimes, especially when you're due for your period, it will feel lumpy. I wanted to give him a damn lump!! LOL. I guess it can do with getting older to. My breasts have been sore since like Saturday I think, but I figured it's my FB condition, but still no AF yet, so who knows.
I think you may be too early and that is why the BFN! I still think woman should test a week after their missed periof for a more accurate reading. It seems woman who ARE pregnant that test too early, do get BFN's too often.
As far as the CM, you definatly should be dried up by now I would think. I don't like the way that sounded!! LOL. You know what I mean!
So you have been married three years and are trying for your first. I am sending TONS OF BABYDUST your way. I'm 38 and hubby is 37. We have ben married almost 10 years in November and have a 7-year old son. This would be baby#2 and the last!!! I think we were married a little over a year when we decided to try for baby#1.
Teacher and Peach, how are you both doing??

I'm kinda feel like this month may be the month-i hate to say that outloud, cause i don't want to jinx myself-or-look stupid when af shows up (i think i've gotten a little too cynical about all this) but i'm having more symptoms this month then ever. On top of other symps i've posted, i've been having this dull ache in my lower back that comes & goes, twice this week i've been hit with a wave absolute tiredness-i even took a 1hr nap today, & i've been going to the bathroom like a mad woman. Crazy how I can go from thinking there's no chance this month to thinking there may be. Make me wonder if my mind is truly playing tricks on me.
Do ya'll think I should test or wait? I'm needing somebody else to make this decision for me, lol. We'll see.............

Hey ladies!!
Good news, still no AF as of today!!!
The spotting I had the last two days is gone! OH MY GOSH, I just can't help wondering if I am. Hubby and I are going to give it until Friday, which I will be 4 or 5 days late by then. I will test Saturday morning. These are the symptoms I have been having lately: obviously, no period, just slightly sore boobs, MAJOR constipatation, and very emotional. The symptoms are there, but who knows. Only time knows....
Xen - If I am pregnant, I am still going to get the mammo on Tuesday of next week and just make sure that they shield me very well!!! I'm glad you are going to wait a few days. LOL@wearing the white shorts!!!
Teacher - I'm sorry to hear that she may be showing up. Let's have hope she doesn't though. I don't understand charting and temps and stuff, so I just go by what you girls say you think. LOL. I can never give an opinion, because I've never did any of that stuff. I just used an online predictor when I ovulate and we have sex. :D
Peach - WAIT to test girlfriend!! :nono: LOL. Unless you have by now. :p
I will keep you ladies updated!!

OK, so here I go spotting again, but it's ONLY when I pee and I wipe and it's so lightly streaked. I'm going crazy girls!!

I've decided to hold off on testing til i'm technically late. I started temping again & well my temp this morning is almost exactly the same as it was last month the day my period started. Even though I know NOTHING about charting temps, & I only charted 3days last month-I'm pretty much taking this as a sign that AF will be on her way by Sat. Well see what happens!

Oh -- Did I mention the acne? Just HORRIBLE. All over my forehead and down my temples. Thank goodness I have bangs that hide it some... My body has GOT to be doing something weird -- no AF, wet/creamy CM, and acne galore. Yikes.
Now if only the HPT would agree...
And I was contemplating calling my doctor's office today and demanding a blood test. But I didn't. Sigh.

YAY, Mel!!!! Woooo-hoooooo!!!! Yippee!!! Congrats!
I was logging back in to tell you guys that an hour ago I started getting nausea (no vomiting yet...) out of the blue. (I don't really want to get up and make dinner now, either.) This has got to be a cruel joke -- no positive test results yet symptoms galore. Sheesh!
Peach - I thought I should be able to test the day AF was due (which I did), but still got a negative. So for the past three days I've tested and gotten negatives each time. Since my schedule is a little different than "normal" I'm trying to rationalize the negatives with the fact that I just need to wait until later to test (like 18DPO, which would be 7-8 days past AF's planned arrival date).

Sorry about that Teach... we all know how disappointing it can be to see AF. On the other hand, we also know what a relief it is to just know SOMETHING (either way) at the end of a long 2ww. At least this way you get to start a new chart and have the hope of a BPF next month. (That probably sounds weird... I hope you understand what I mean).

Me too!

I couldn't stand it anymore. I did a HPT this morning and got a BFN again, yet I woke up in the middle of the night with nausea again and my temps were still high.
So... when the doctor's offices started opening up at 8 am I started calling. My family doc and my OB both told me to come in and they would either take blood and send it out or write an order for me to go to a lab who would send it out. Of course this meant that I wouldn't find out until next week.
Next I called the "express care" dept of the hospital's emergency room, but they told me to call the health dept. The health dept. said they only do urine tests. Finally, after letting my fingers do the walking, I found a walk in clinic that had an onsite lab who would give me the results today.
I went in right away (I was there by 9am) and they took blood. The nurse was not very hopeful for a positive test since I had had a negative urine test already today... but 20 minutes later she handed me a cassette (similar to those HPTs where you take the eye dropper and put the urine in the little well) and showed me a very faint POSITIVE line. YAY!!!!! She said I could keep it. :bouncing: :bouncing:
I had to stop at Target to buy a baby gift for some friends who had a baby last week and picked up a book about pregnancy week by week. I had planned to hold out until this evening to tell my husband, but I had the cell phone out and was dialing by the time I walked out of Target (after seeing all the cute baby stuff and 4 (!) women with newborns in there). DH is just thrilled... he said he wanted to shout "my boys can swim!" but decided to restrain himself. :D
For those wanting advice --- we BD'd every day in the five days before O. I used both a ferning kit and an OPK as well as temp charting to pinpoint O. After each BD I remained in bed for about 30 minutes, but didn't elevate anything. Symptoms I've had: lots o' acne, tender breasts (but that has come and gone), gassiness and constipation (though these just started 2 days ago). The nausea started yesterday and hasn't really let up yet (this does not bode well for the next few months!).
Thanks for all of your support, ladies. :)

Congratulations Xinerevelle!!!!!!!!!!
This is awesome :) . Happy healthy nine months to you :bouncing:
I am on CD32 myself and the temps are still high; AF was due on Tuesday and has not shown up yet. I am scared to test as I have irregular cycles. However based on the OPK AF was due 4 days ago. I am nervous and excited too.
Congratulations once again

Thank you so much ladies for all your support and warm wishes of congrats for me!! :bouncing: It still feels like it's not real, except for when the nausea kicks in - Bingo! LOL. My hubby and son are so excited! Especially my son. He's going to be a big brother!! How exciting is that!! :D I'm still having mixed feelings of joy, nervousness, happy, sad, etc. I just hope that at 38, I can do this again as I did when I was 30; that is what scares me the most. My ob/gyn appt. is in two weeks. She told me 2 months ago when I visited her for my yearly that if I conceived I would have a scheduled section. She does not do vbac's. She thinks there is too much risk associated with them. So I guess I will have a scheduled section when my due date gets near I guess. I will find out in a few weeks. I think that would suck big time, because it did the first time around. Well, not the section, but the recovery!!! Anyway, hubby and I just had sex on days 12 and 14 of this month when I was ovulating; missionary position, and I laid on my back for at least a half hour before getting up, but that was it. I don't have any special advice to offer except to just keep trying and your BFP's will come soon!! :bouncing:
Xen ~ Congratulations honey!! :bouncing: :bouncing: What great news! I'm so happy for you too!!
Peach & Teacher ~ I"m hoping you guys will be right behind us shortly!! I"m sending LOTS OF STICKY BABYDUST to you!!

Peach -- We've all done it. :) I'm still checking just to be sure that I'm really pregnant.
Actually, when I went to the doctor's office I checked in, and was told to be seated in the waiting room until my name was called. While sitting there, I guess I was so anxious I was sweating alot down there. So I went to the bathroom to make sure I didn't get my period because I would feel really stupid getting the blood test WHILE I had my period. But again it was just my mind playing tricks on me.

Xin....woweeee! Congrats on your bfp!!!! Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy.
Peach...sounds like you may be the third one! It's almost harder to wait to hear about ya'lls results than it is to wait on my own.
As for me, I went shopping today and spending over 500 dollars made me feel so much better! I would have rather had to buy maternity clothes, but that will come someday I hope.

Hi Teach,
Glad to see i'm not the only one here this weekend...i was starting to get a little lonely! :D
Shopping has always been my #1 fix all-I luv it & it works everytime! Nothing wrong with that!(although my dh thinks otherwise :D ) There's lots of good shopping in Texas too....especially in Gainesville.
My tummy has been rumbling all day, & i've dull cramps. A couple of sharp one's by my belly button-nothing too bad though. I've also been sneezing up a storm all day(doubtful this has anything to do w/ttc, but it's just been non stop!)
I really want to go in there right now & test-I should just do it & get it over with.

:) Meeeeee tooooooooooooooo :bouncing: :bouncing:
I couldn't resist and finally tested first thing on Sunday morning, and I got a faint positive. As per one of the web sites that I was using for BBT I am due on 11/27 :)
DH is still not sure, he wants me to test after a couple days again before we schedule our OBG appt. This is our first one and we have been TTC for 4 months. I'll be 30 this October.
This is amazing, I'm thrilled, a little disappoihnted that DH doesn't share the same excitement
Good luck to all the other ladies who are still trying and tons of Baby dust to all

YAY PrannaS!!!!! Yippee!!! Congratulations!
I went ahead and did the blood test after having 3 negative HPTs, but hubby still asked me three times this weekend if maybe we should do another urine test just to be sure. (I showed him the actual blood test results but he is still a little skeptical.)
I got up this morning and figured, What the H***, I'll do a test, just to appease him. So I peed in the cup and then went looking for the test, and I didn't have any left. Oh well. The NAUSEA is telling me that I'm 100% sure I'm pregnant. :)
What a great 2WW for most of us! :D
It's gotta be your month next month, Teach. Hang in there! *hugs*

Congratulations woman!! :bouncing: We will be seeing on the pregnancy board I hope. I remember how exciting the first one is. I wanted to shout it at the top of my lungs!! Wow, four months is not that long either. It took us two months this time around. I was the same age when I had my son or maybe I was 31.
Again, congrats!! :D
Good luck to all the other ladies who are still trying and tons of Baby dust to all!

xinerevelle,
What brand "dipstick" did you use? I'm using Aimstick and AF was due yesterday or today and I keep getting a negative?
I'm definitely prepared for AF, but is there a possibility these so called "early detection" tests aren't as accurate as they say??
Please help
