I had an IUI on Saturday morning at 9am. It is now Wed, 1am and I've noticed bleeding. ;( This has never happened to me before. Does anyone know what this means. I'm only three and a half days post ovulation. Is this implantation bleeding? Am I having a miscarriage??

Any thoughts would be so appreciated....I'm really scared right now and don't know what to do!

I would call the doctor right away...

It's too early for a miscarriage, because you can't have one of those until after an implantation has taken place that that takes several days after fertilization. There are other kinds of bleeding - ovulation bleeding and implantation bleeding. It could be one of those, or just the crazy hormones.

The nurse said it could be just irritation to the uterus from the IUI procedure or implantation. I would think that if the uterus got irritated from the IUI procedure, I would have bled right after the procedure, not 3-4 days later. The nurse told me not to worry too much as long as the bleeding has stopped (which it has). Easier said than done of course.
