I was told by my primary doctor that my pap was abnormal and I was diagnosed with a low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion. They told me to call my gyncologist for an appointment. My gyncologist's office said they can't make an appointment until the results of my HPV test came back. That was a week ago and they still haven't called me back. Is this the normal procedure? Should I be worried that I am having to wait, or is there no rush for treatment for a low-grade lesion??
Thank you for any information you can provide.

Don't worry usually with low grade they will have you re-pap in another 3 months depending on the doctor. Otherwise they might want you to come in for a colposcopy to do some biospies. You are ok at this point so don't worry yourself. Your body can normally heal itself with low grade that is why typically they will have you wait it out and re-pap. good luck
