I just got a call from the hospital telling me that its nothing to worry about but I have a cyst on my brain. When i was there in th ER last week they told me it was a normal scan. What does this mean? Could it be why I am having these problems with tingling and eye twitching etc?

See my post below for more info. I am shocked , and this must be new as I had a cat scan with contrast a month ago and the report on that was normal.

The neurologist just called , and said the cyst is tiny and benign and is definitely not the reason for my head tingling..but he also said for me to get the films and bring to him in my next visit with him. So I will get the films but I think I will first go to a neurosurgeon and get a opinion from someone who see's these things up close and personal.

I am now taking lyrica , anyone ever try this medicine..It has made me feel pretty wired so far since taking it last night.

Is your "cyst" in the temporal lobe? I had a "cyst" there which the drs shrugged off, which did not show up on CT. I did research and most cysts (eg arachnoid, fluid filled-cysts) do show up on CT and MRI. Turned out to be a benign tumor. Many such tumors are not visible on CT. You need to do some serious research, and take your scans to a neurosurgeon, and study them yourself. Is the tingling brief in nature? Good luck

Hi I thought I would put my two cents. I was having lots of problems for many years until Aug 2000 and I went for an MRI and never left the hospital. I had a benign tumor the size of a lemon in my head. My doctor said it could have been there since birth and grew and grew. I was 32 when they found it. I was very upset because prior to this I was telling any doctor my problems and they thought I was loney. I still have lots of pains on the same side of this and bothers me often during the day and night. It was an epirdermoid cyst on the back part of my head. I have a hole in my head about the size of a golf ball kind of behind my left ear. I wish doctors would listen to you more. If the doctor says it is nothing I would get a second oponion. But that is just me - many doctors, headache clinics and physio told me nothing. Always be sure that is all. Cheers
