I all I am kinda new to this part of the board but I am kinda freaking out right now and would just like some insight if any of you have any and thank you if do!
My dad has hep c and as of right now he is in the hospital due to the fact that he cant stop throwing up- his blood pressue is said to be 180/180 which is bad I know- he is very dehydrated and also he retains a lot of water and i know all this is putting massive pressue on his heart- he lives like 9 hours away and this is the second time he has gone into the hospital in 6 months i am so worried about him the really hard part is that he dosent really tell me or my sis what is going on or how bad he is he hides it all- me and my sis are so worried that he is going to die. Its such a horrible situation since we cant run over and be with him all the time i guess i just mainly needed to vent since I have a hard time talking about this with the family due to the fact that i seem to just want to break down and cry.

It's good to vent and get it out of your system sometime. I have two daughters as well and when I found out I had hep c I kept it from them so they wouldn't worry. I figured they had enough in their lives to worry with. With dads its always their responsibility to worry over their girls not the other way around. My girls have now pretty much nailed me to the tree and make me talk and tell them what is going on which makes me feel better now. Your dad sounds like he is really battling and distance is the worst thing when there is illness. Sounds like he has a couple of special daughters though and his hard head will soften I bet. Mine did:) Hoping for his wellness and your peace. Dalw

My husband has hep c and we have two daughters 16/18 we let them know
of his progress He just started a new treatment and is doing ok on it except
at night the chem shots and medication is making him not sleep at night
and we had to take him to the hospital 3 wks ago the medication made him
have a bad panic attack the ambulance took him there and myself and
our girls went by car and stayed with him until he returned home. Just
be strong for your dad he needs that the most. Hep c is hard and it not
only effects the one that has it but the loved ones that care for them.

Keep your spirits high and say a prayer every day to God!!
