Numerous people have told me about Baby Einstein videos. So my father went out and bought my dd a whole set which has about 15 - 20 dvd's. I know that different ones go with different ages but it didn't come with an age guide. I've put in a few of the dvd's but it doesn't seem to grab her attention like people have told me it does. She only likes Sesame Street.
Does anyones babies watch these and do they know which ones are good for 6 months and under.
Thanks,
mommy to Danielle 10/4/05

My daughter is 3 months old. She loves the baby einstein dvd's. Like the poster before me mentioned the best ones for the younger viewers (under 1 year of age) is mozart, bach, and beethoven. I have the mozart and beethoven and I also bought the language nursery, dd loves them. Look on the bottom right had corner it should say 0-3 years. Those are the best ones.

DS started watching Baby McDonald at about four months and he loved it, we watched that thing over and over and over. He will watch most of them now, but some of them he just hates. I put one in the other night and he screamed until I turned it off, I guess he just hated it that much.
But I must say, those things are just awesome, that is the only way we get DS asleep at night.

What may be more important at this age than WATCHING the dvd, is LISTENING to it... all those studies that show that classical music is so good for brain function, etc. So, the music ones are great at this age. As she gets older, I'm sure she'll be able to enjoy them more! My son adored them, but especially as he got a lil older... closer to a year old, and all the way until he was 3!!

My son is 4 months old and loves the Baby Mozart dvd! My 1st son loved it too at that age and much longer! Wow! The whole collection must be so nice! I paid 20 bucks a peice for the Baby Mozart and Baby Wordsworth! :)
My father bought the DVD collection brand new for $69 inc. shipping. He bought it on that website that I can't mention on here. The one that you bid on things. It has 18 dvd's. I did take out the Baby Neptune today and she watched it twice. The last time I tried the world animals and she wanted nothing to do with it. Like I said I think that DVD was made for older babies. I am going to see if I can find a website that shows the ages.
