Have any one ever taken birth control and ur cramping in ur ovaries? I have been taking birth control since March 8th. This is my first time taking bc! And I have been trying to conceive but every pg test I have taken has said negative when I went to the gyn she said I wasnt pg but she only did a urine test on me...no blood test...just took blood to check my hormones! Anyone have any advice!!!

Hello, here's a weird question...
How are you ttc while taking bc. My doc started me on bc to help hormones but I don't want to miss any cycles. Which cycle days do you "skip" pills so you can still ttc?

I had HORRIBLE cramps while I was on the pill. It felt like I had been cut open from one ovary to the other.

I'm confused. If you're ttc then why areyou on birth control, since birth control is to prevent pregnancy?

Doc said it was easiest way to regulate hormones. I don't think he agrees me ttc anyways wich makes me mad. I think he thinks I'm too young. I'll 20 in june. I can't argue with my doc cuz he's well respected and just getting an appoint is hard. I'm only taking them till the end of april though? How bout you steph2105?

Well that makes more sense. So you're not actually TTCing right now --just trying to get your hormones regulated.
If you don't like your doctor why not go to one you DO like? OB/GYN is a pretty personal kind of doctor, and you need to be very comfortable with him for a long time. It's not like you just go to see him once a year for a pap smear -- you're talking 9 full months of visits (and weekly in the last month!).

Well I am trying to conceive but you cant conceive unless you ovulate. I havent had a period since Jan 8th...started bc on March 8th because my ob/gyn thought that my hormones are out of whack. They did labs on my hormones to see if that was the problem. My OB/GYN wants me to take a round of bc then on after that she wants me to skip April without the bc to see if I could conceive she thinks that I should ovulate in April so maybe I can conceive my pride and joy. I am comfortable with my doctor. Everyone I know that has went to her likes her and says shes a good doc. Plus, she has this financial thing where I would only have to pay 20% of the bill. Which is good because I couldnt afford the 100% payment. I go back April 19th to see what the deal is. I will keep you all informed!
Thanks,

That's awsome Steph,
Your lucky you only have to take the bc for one cycle. Hopefully all goes well for you in April. I had the same problems that's why doc recommended the same thing, allthough, he wants me to take the pill for a couple months. I go back to see him April 6. I live in Canada so my doc visits and pills are free or pretty cheap. I can'timagine how much it would suck to have to pay to get healthy. I'm glad your doc is cool and only makes you pay 20%. If mine weren't free I probably couldn't afford to go. I never thought about it before, but I totally take advantage of that. Good luck and baby dust.
