okay. last night it started when i slipped and hit my chin and chipped a tooth. i got really upset about it and upset about a lot of other things and i was crying hystercally for about an hour. finally i calmed down and went to sleep. i just woke up now and both my eyes are huge and puffy and swollen and i cant open them all the way. i can barely see right now. it hurts when i try to open them all the way.

this happened once before, in one eye, many years ago. it turned out a bug big me in my eyebrow and it caused the swelling. the doctor gave me a zyrtec and it was fine by the next day. i don't see a bug bite. i think it's different. the swellin is in my eyelids. the entire section above my eye is huge. i don't now what to do. i'm gonna start crying all over again and that can't be good.

oh and to give more information, i have been sick the past few days. it is a sore throat and overall crappy feeling. also, i'm not on any medication. i took two tylenol last night. i didn't even take any vitamins yesterday. i am really worried right now. please help!

With stuff like this an internet message board shouldn't be the first thing you consult. You should go to a doctor as soon as you can and get it checked out.

well, i didn't want to rush to the doctor if i was overreacting. asking for help online seemed to be the right thing to do at the time. the swelling has gone down a little bit. if it's not gone in a few hours, i'll call the doctor. thanks.
