I have what my GI calls "mild Crohn's disease." He thinks I'm completely assymptomatic which isn't true - I have painful cramps, sharp pain in my LRQ, pain in my right side near my gall bladder, nausea and stomach aches. But it's all intermittent. When it comes sometimes I feel so frustrated that I just want to stab my abdomen with a knife. I get a lot of anxiety about it. I feel like my GI is just brushing my case aside while he does more testing. So far all he's found is inflammation in my ileum. I just don't know if I need pain medication, or if I'm making the pain into something bigger than it really is. I have a history of just ignoring medical conditions until they got drastically worse. I have an overactive thyroid so sometimes I'm more agitated than normal and this can aggravate things. How severe does Crohn's have to be before I'm allowed to have pain medication? Over the counter Tylenol isn't doing anything for me.
