View Full Version : Environmental Estrogens

I have gynocomastia. I'm 5'11 145 lbs. However I still eat an unhealthy diet. (Burgers, chili dogs) I want to try (as an experiment) to see if cutting the environmental estrogens out of my diet will fix my pair of problems. Starting with the dairy foods and meats that come from animals given hormones and steriods. And foods that discourage the body from producing estrogen in the first place.

The problem is I have no idea where to start. Any ideas?

Probably you can start by avoiding beef, pork and fowl. A tough order.
Ocean caught fish might be safe, although I've read that even they are beginning to show high levels of human estrogen from the urine of billions of women/doses of birth control meds. It's even showing up in deep wells.

There are easier, and probably more effective ways of treating gynectomastia.

Easier? Yes.

Financially feasable? No.

Have you had a saliva test done to determine your hormone levels? This conditions is usually caused by a testosterone deficiency. I think that cutting out environmental estrogens is always a good idea, but you may need more than that. I would ask your Dr. about possible DHEA supplemtation. I would also suggest seeing a Naturopath if you can afford it....they do really well when dealing with hormonal issues.
