Im 24 and I have two children one 2 years and one 7 months.

A couple years ago before the first one was born I had noticed a mushy but firm lump behind my ear under my skin. I had it looked at prob. a year later when it was still there. The Dr. glanced at it and said it was a cyst (without evn touching it.) She said it would be fine unless it grew bigger then I didnt need to do anything. Well another year passed and now I have one on the other side too. They arent huge bulging lumps or anything but like one is the size of the end of my fingertip. They do not hurt at all. I went to another dr about them finally a month ago. She felt them and says they were swollen lymph nodes. She continued to kinda feel under my arms and in that neck clevivle I guess you call it. She said If I had lumps there then it could mean something serious. And that was the end of it. Except I said it's normal to have them for over a year? She said I have one on one side that stays there most the time...and continued to ask if I have sinus problems. I don't so thats what i said. And she didnt say anything more about it. Since then, I check on them see if they have grown, and was checking the rest of my head and I have from what I can feel more lumps going from the one behind my ear with lumps going towards the back of my skull along that ridge of the skull above the neck. They do not hurt, however I have been not all the time but sometimes have pain radiating around that side of my head only, strange pain, like pressure pain or something. Its bearable but unusual. And Once I did have a vision problem a year ago only one time and it cleared up. It had a foggy vision for a couple hours. I have fatigue definately, I also have two little ones though. The fatigue seems way more than that though. I don't think I run fever or have night sweats, not very badly anyways, becasue I dont remember.I just seen that as a symptom of cancer so I just started watching out for that. I have been getting sick unusually more than I used to. I hardly ever got sick and not very badly if I did befopre this winter. This winter I dont thikn I have stop being sick with something for 4 months at least. Also, I had the rotovirus (stomach flu) very badly. Worse than an adult should get it so I had read. I even had it worse than my kids. I don't know if this is a symptom or not..Getting sick alot that is or low immune system... I have lost alot of weight but again I had a baby 7 months ago. I weighed 200 right before he was born now I weigh 120. Which is strange becasue I didnt get that small after having my first one and I didnt gain as much either. I still losing, maybe a pound a week or something..but I might be tapering off around now.. I dont know yet..Should I get this biopsied? Or am I just being silly? I feel like Im crazy when I tell anyone about them like they dont believe me or something. I know they havent went down in size at all and if anything have gotten a little bigger but Im not sure about that. I just need some input. should I shouldnt I.

I think you need to give the doctor a copy of the letter you wrote to us. If he/she doesn't listen, see another one.

Thank You for a response Debbiefix. I have a dr. appt tommorrow, new dr. and Im going to hopefully have them biopsy my lymph node. Im wondering if they will do it when I come in, since thats what I set it up for, or schedule the biopsy for another day? I have been sick this week and it is effecting my lymph nodes I wonder if they will still do it? Gess I will find out tommorrow.

The biopsy, for me at least, was done at the hospital under anesthesia...versaid and morphine. I didn't know a thing til it was over. The surgeon had a frozen section done and got the results immediately. I was able to get up and go home, not one bit of pain.
