Hello everyone...Does anyone have trouble wiht their bottom number? My bottom number is usually my trouble. My top number is usually okay on the average. However my bottom number has a mind of it's own and varies constantly.
Here are some samples of my bp over the last 3 days
107/80
118/83
112/90
134/97
119/81
122/89
119/99
136/102 highly anxiuos today though it did come down to 120/97 after a 10 minute wait and a recheck.
A month agao I had a sinus infection and broncitus and went to the dr and got an antibiotic script. My bp that day was 154/105 She told me to come back in a month and have it checked again because sometimes being sick can make it be higher. Also I had just been there two months agao and it was 124/82 and fine. Although she said if when I come back it had not come down she was going to put me on bp meds.
So I kept track of it over the month and it was averaging 120/82 with the ocassional spikes of my bottom number in to the 90's
So I cancelled my appt because I had watched it and it did go down.
Now however I am having some extreme stress going on in my life and the last 3 days it is giving me trouble again. My numbers have been closer to the 90's and sometimes over 100.
It always goes down though when I lay down and a lieing bp for me can be as low as 95/76. ( that would be a nice number to have always)
I am thinking of buying those OTC water pills and see if that helps any. I also am needing to lose weight and I am working on that. I do know since I put back on 20 lbs my bp is erratic at times. But generally fine. So loosing weight i know will help me..
Also any one have any input on weather temporary stress related high bp is a medicated situation? I am assuming if high bp over a long period of time that does not come down would mean it always measures high weather you are sitting, standing or lying down?
