Hello All. My sister has very high platelets, over 1 million. This has been going on for months. Now, they have put her on Hydrea. She started Monday. She takes 2 pills a day, so these platelets will come down. She will know the results on Monday. Anyway, Doc has run all the test he can think of, but, he can not find the cause. She does have a small brain tumor on top of the brain, and doc beleives this could be the problem, and wants it out. The brain tumor is benign.. I am asking if anyone out there is on this drug, and did it help???? She says it makes her tired by the end of her work day, and sometimes she feels a bit queasy also. Last night she had pain in the tips of her fingers... but that has passed. Any helpful info would be truly appreciated.... I'm praying for her that this medicine will help, and when they remove the tumor, she will be back to her old self once more, healthy and happy!!! Thanks for listing... Good luck to all of you.
