That new prescription would give you TWO of the half dozen drugs I hate worst: ATIVAN and NORVASC (amlodipine in your LOTREL.) You haven't even mentioned the possiblility of coughing from the benazepril. Do these doctors get paid to push new versions of old drugs that do this to people. Short answer to that is : YES! IJUSTWANNANO 03-18-2006, 10:18 AM xxxxxxxxxx Lenin 03-18-2006, 11:37 AM I despise Ativan because it is short acting and ends with a panic...just what it;s supposed to cure. I think it is also very habit forming...my mother got strung out on it. I think diazepam or any number of benzo tranquilizers are FAR better for simple anxiety. Dilantin is a tough bird. I have a friend who has been on it for 40 years. He said he was nervous one day a decade ago and I gave him one of my meprobamates (a mild old tranquilizer)...he went petit mal the first time in 5 years...I felt bad :( but he had no memory of the event :D, nor any lingering side effects. I think your seizure specialist should make the call on whatever drugs you take...not your GP. IJUSTWANNANO 03-18-2006, 12:36 PM xxxxxxxxxx IJUSTWANNANO 03-19-2006, 06:33 PM xxxxxxxxxx |
