i know everyone says that too much of anything is a bad thing but are there certain foods that you can eat endlessly and its still okay?
i tend to eat 5-6 pieces of whole fruit per day, about 5 servings of oatmeal, extremely large salads (8-9 cups of spinach/greens) daily..of course along with this i also eat eggs, nuts, cheese, fish/ chicken...
i know that on weight watchers and such you can eat an endless amount of fruits and vegetables..so then really my diet is only cheese, eggs, nuts, and oatmeal...? also, i know 5 servings of oatmeal sounds like a ridiculous amount but i feel like this is comparable to a rice dish or pasta dish that a dinner would have if you went out? is this diet okay? how much is too much?
thank you so much

I'm not on weight watchers, so I'm not exactly sure, but a friend of mine is... Someone else here probably knows, but I thinkt that fruits DO count towards your daily points total...

The question is how many calories are you having? If you are eating too many calories it doesnt matter where they came from....they will be stored as fat.
If you ate 500 calories of lettuce every day you would still gain weight.

Your diet sounds very healthy and wonderful! True, it does matter how many calories you are eating if you are trying to lose/gain/maintain weight, but if you are seeing the results you want from how you are eating now, then keep it up. You sound like you are eating extremely healthy and I would not change a thing!

What are your goals? Are you at a healthy weight right now?

yes, the only problem with my diet is that i sometimes eat nuts and cheese in excess- like 5 servings of each (today i had 6 servings of cheese...those cheddar cubes are so addicting!) which adds quite a bit of calories. i am actually trying to gain weight but i dont want to load my body with fried food and ice cream to do so- thats why im trying to double all my healthy foods but also eat a good amount of calorie dense foods (nuts and cheese) that will give me protein to build muscle- but first of course fat... im 100 pounds and 5'8.. i have been skinny all my life but i lost about 5 pounds recently because i started walking more..but i still am not aiming at gaining ridiculous amounts of weight.
thank you guys!
