What are the most common lymph nodes to be malignant in the neck? I have my posterior cervical lymph node swollen as well as a sub-mandibular node swollen(well maybe its not swollen, but I can palpate it, its right about my corotid). Anyway, I've all ready been to two GP's and a pediatrition, all told me it was fine and sometimes they won't go down etc. Probably just my anxiety disorder kicking in, but if you coudl answer those questions that be great.

There are no most common ones known to be malignant...it's an equal opportunity for all lymph nodes.

I have an anxiety problem as well. I have had enlarged lymph nodes in my neck for over a year, and my general doctor always tells me I'm fine and that sometimes nodes just grow larger. I just wish the nodes would return to normal size. But I worry ALL the time, so I'll always be worried to some degree about cancer, etc.

Yup that's exactly like me. I mean I can rationalize it and say okay your fine, not 1, not 2 but 3 different doctors, one who saw you on two occassions spread out about a year apart said you have nothing to worry about and its normal, but I still have that slight feeling sometimes ya know?

Don't worry, your lymph nodes are just fine. I've had anxiety for a zillion years and used to think I would never make it to my next birthday. You will eventually see that your lymph nodes are fine, but unfortunately, your anxiety condition may not go away as easily as your lymph node worries......
