just in case anyone else has had or is experiencing the problems i did with birth control.

i took the pill succesfully for around 4 years before my problems started.

i developd symptoms similar to many STDs and STIs, severe pain during sex, abnormal or painful periods, repeated thrush and cystitis type symptoms, low libido, abdominal pain.

i was tested repeatedly and everything was clear, i switched from pill to pill and nothing worked, this went on for around 2 years and destroyed a relationship. finally i saw a different GP and she told me to come off hormonal contraception. within 2 weeks my symptoms were gone.

it turns out i have an allergy to synthetic hormones, but i tried the implant and mini pill just in case but both made the symptoms return. finally last may i had a non hormonal IUD fitted and its been fantastic, i can enjoy sex again, and im natural again which i like.

in case anyones had this too and still having the problems i had, try it. you might be like me,
