sry guys, but I need to know, how long it would take for the tooth to come in more, once it has peeked a little, I put a post of a little white bump on my ds gums, thought it was a tooth emerging, but it has not gotten any bigger or changed at all, any ideas? thanks

It takes a longgggg time. More than two weeks at least. They move very very slowly. They are less crabby once it emerges though. I guess It hurts worse when it is twisting and cutting through the flesh.

Ds had a simi;ar bump on his gums, and when I asked the doctor, he told me it was a pre-eruptive cyst, not a tooth. They are harmless, and go away in time, this was at about 5 months old, and he is now 10 months, and it just went away. It was never a tooth. All of ds's teeth were never bumps in his gums, they were actually little pockets, sunken in a bit, before he got teeth. Just letting you know, perhaps it's not a tooth?

You can feel a tooth right away when it emerges. Run your finger over the gum line it will feel rugged and hard.

well he has the sunken pockets. but the bump is small and white, not like if it was a tooth, the whole top of it, almost like a little piece poked through, and it is hard from what I can tell. thanks all
