Hello, I am 19 years old. When I was a freshmen in highschool I weighed approx. 205 and was 5'9. At the end of my sophmor year I dropped down to about 165-170 and was 5'11. Things seemed to be fine and dandy. Now, it being a few years later.. I can't help but notice my cheeks being saggy and thin. When I was heavier, I had pretty chubby cheeks and now I feel like my face is deflating and causing an older appearance. I know this stuff is more common with people as they age, but these concerns are usually for people who are in there 50's. I don't understand it, I know people lose alot more than 40-50 pounds and their face doesn't deflat. I'm actually considering letting weight pile back on in order to fill out my cheeks so I appear healier. Once that is done I would want to slowly let the weight off in hope that it will correct my problem before on possibly losing the weight too fast and disrupting my elasticity (if there is any logic in that) I'm really looking for some advice/support because it is very very discouraging and depressing to lose weight and then feel good about myself while now I see the effects of not having the support under my skin to fill out my cheeks. I know half the battle is just me thinking about it and looking in the mirror too much.. but I'm looking for any comments. Thank you very much

I still feel that one of my only options is to just put on more weight. I went from fat to thin, very thin.. and I don't see harm in trying to puff back out

Well if where you lose the weight is more important or not.. I've already lost the weight so right now I just want to fill back out. I just want to fill back out a bit.. I really don't want to put a bunch of weight back on but if I have to just to gain a healthier appearance, then that'll have to do

Brian128,
I kinda think like you do, gain more weight ''to fill back out'', but you need to be careful because the weight ''fat'' that you may put back on may not go to your face?...I recommend you see a Dr that specializes in that field before you start putting any weight back on.
I heard of face lifts...but I don't think you want to go through that?

Brian,
YOu should go and talk to your doctor, before going to see any old doctor...that way you will know for sure what You need to know...and or perhaps your doctor can help you find another who will specialize in the extra folds of skin...don't just take chances...talk it thru with your doctor...or get another opinion..because it just doesn't hurt...and besides, not every doctor is "up" on whatever may be ailing somebody....you sometimes do need another M.D'.s opinion!
