just wondering if there were any other diagnosed borderline personality cases out there, and if you have found any relief, from meds or therapy or anything else...

Hi Kadelicious. I don't suffer from borderline personality. But I just wanted to say hi and welcome. If you find that nobody can fully relate, at least you will find a listening ear here. Take care.

Yes my parents are both untreated borderline personalites. They live their lives in constant suspicion of other people, constant mood swings, perfectionism, and delusions. My parents are able to function in society as they do have well paying professional jobs. BUT they are constantly creating emotional havock on themselves and others.

Borderline personality disorder is a severe problem and I would suggest seeing a therapist for many years to come. As perhaps the therapist may give you insight on other people, your own thinking and behavior, and teach you how to act in society. Most people with BP are incredibly rigid, self centered, selfish, and refuse to think outside the box or imagine. Often they are pessismists and WILL never improve. Medication will most likely not help you. I suggest you learn NEW ways. This takes time, I know, because I had to do it myself. It is like learning a new subject in school. Sometimes when we check out books and read books on bp, communication, self help etc..then that we find to be so healing.
