I've had a sty on my upper eyelid for about a month now. It's very small but it's making my eyelashes fall out which does not look good. How can I get rid of it completely?

My eye doc told me to use warm wash cloths on my eye for about 10 minutes 4 times a day until it was gone. That worked for me. However, my eyelashes didn't fall out. So I think you should see your eye doctor to make sure nothing else is going on, like an eye infection, ect. Hope this helps. :cool:

I've had a few of them, myself. For two of them, warm compresses worked well to shrink them until they were completely gone. One of them, the final one, was large and I had to have it lanced by my eye doctor.

I believe he called it a "chalazion". My group health insurance covered the cost of the procedure. He gave me a shot of cocaine close to the eye, which was the worst of the entire procedure. It was over very quickly, for which I was greatly relieved!
