Has anyone have any side effect while on Mercilon?
I read a lot about the little/no side effect of NuvaRing, so I would like to ask anyone who .aRing or Mercilon for some advise on their experience.

All hormonal birth control methods have the potential to cause mood swings; it's just something that you have to wait and see if it happens. As far as weight gain, most studies show that the pill doesn't cause massive weight gain, but only a few pounds of water weight (usually no more than 5 pounds). However, hormonal birth control can cause in increase in appetite, and if you eat more and exercise less, of course you'll gain weight. It's just a matter of eating properly and exercising regularly.
NuvaRing has the exact same potential side effects as the pill. Some women love it, others hate it.
Try the pills for now, and if you find that you suffer from side effects after a few months, or would like to try the convenience of NuvaRing, then consider switching methods.
